Distinction given to professional speakers who have reached
the top echelon of platform excellence
(San Diego, CA - 7/12/07) Business entrepreneur and workplace transform expert Roxanne Emmerich was inducted into the National Speakers Association’s (NSA) Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) Speaker Hall of Fame earlier this month during the association’s annual conference in San Diego, California.
“Roxanne’s unique ability to create profound, measurable change due to a change in workplace culture is miraculous,” said former NSA President Nido Qubein. “She has an extraordinary presence on the platform because she speaks from the heart.”
The CEO of The Emmerich Group, a work-place transformation consulting company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Emmerich is also the author of two best-selling business books, “Thank God It’s Monday” and “Profit-Rich Sales,” and she is the owner and founder of two financial services holding companies.
She was twice recognized as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year,’ and singled out by the University of Wisconsin as the Distinguished Alumna of 2003. Currently Emmerich is working on her next “work-place transformation” book, which is due out in 2008.
Emmerich is one of five new inductees into the Speakers' Hall of Fame, which was created back in February 1977, when the NSA established the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) Speaker Hall of Fame to honor professional speakers who had reached the top echelon of platform excellence.
Inductees are evaluated by their peers through a thorough and detailed process. This award is not based on celebrity status, number of speeches, amount of income or volunteer involvement in NSA. Instead, candidates must excel in several categories, including material, style, experience, delivery, image, professionalism and communication. Emmerich joins luminaries such as Ronald Reagan, Colin Powell, Zig Ziglar and Harvey McKay.
“I am honored to have received such an important and prestigious award, and am grateful for the recognition of my work,” Emmerich said. “It’s such an honor to be included in the NSA’s Council of Peers Award for Excellence Speakers’ Hall of Fame. It means a lot to me.”
